Rainwear that deserves to be seen, the Flotte Richelieu Waterproof Jacket takes inspiration from the classic trench coat and transforms it into something altogether more playful, feminine and contemporary.

The striking red immediately makes Richelieu a statement piece, but it's the detailing that really sets it apart. Cut with a loose, oversized silhouette, it falls to a versatile mid-thigh length with dropped shoulders and gathered balloon sleeves creating beautiful volume. Elasticated cuffs give definition to the sleeves while maintaining that relaxed, fashion-led shape.

The real talking point is the clever detachable hood. Long ties allow it to be fastened around the neck in an oversized bow, transforming a practical wet-weather detail into a distinctly feminine feature. Remove the hood and the ties can also be styled with a scarf-like effect, giving you plenty of scope to change the look.

Behind the romantic styling is serious rain protection. Richelieu has a 15,000 mm waterproof rating, 4,000 g/m²/24h breathability and heat-sealed seams. The fabric is made using the equivalent of 27 recycled bottles and is PFC/PFAS-free, OEKO-TEX certified and Global Recycled Standard certified.

Fit
Loose, oversized fit with a fluid silhouette. It runs a little large, so take one size down if you prefer a neater, more fitted look. Take your usual size if you love the relaxed proportions and want room for layering.

Style Suggestions
Let the red do the work. Richelieu looks fantastic over dark indigo denim and a crisp white shirt, creating a simple three-colour combination that feels fresh and polished.

For AW26, try red with chocolate brown, camel or burgundy for a richer take on autumn colour. It also works beautifully against navy and charcoal tailoring.

The longer length makes this an especially useful style with wide-leg and barrel-leg trousers, while the oversized bow brings femininity to jeans and trainers. For something unexpected, layer it over a printed midi dress or skirt and boots – the contrast between practical rainwear and a softer outfit underneath is exactly what makes Richelieu so interesting.
